Old Bridge Chemicals, Madison Industries and Madison Chemicals were established in 1962 and are major suppliers of copper and zinc compounds and solutions, serving a variety of chemical-related industries and focusing on a select number of products. Old Bridge concentrates on copper chemicals, Madison Industries on zinc chemicals and Madison Chemicals on USP and FCC grades for food and pharmaceutical applications. We are the largest manufacturer of copper sulfate and copper carbonate in the United States and are a major supplier of zinc sulfate, zinc chloride and other chemical compounds containing copper and zinc. Our basic strategy is to focus our expertise on a handful of products while producing a variety of grades. This allows us to provide the excellent service and consistent quality our customers demand.

Copper Sulfate is used in many different industries, including animal feed, water treatment as an aquatic algaecide, dairy farming, food and pharmaceutical, pool chemical and other applications. Studies have shown that the efficacy of copper sulfate for use as an animal feed micro-nutrient is equal to or greater than that of other copper compounds such as tri-basic copper chloride. Our copper carbonate is recognized as the leading source of copper for wood preservative products such as pressure treated lumber, and is used in many other industrial applications. Our zinc sulfate is an important nutritional component in animal feeds. It is also used in the pharmaceutical, technical and industrial markets for a variety of applications. Our products are produced from a wide variety of raw materials, including various metal-bearing materials and other assorted feed stocks, both solid and liquid. Unlike other manufacturers, this allows us to be flexible in our choice of raw materials as market conditions change and allows us to respond to fluctuations in the supply and demand of key raw materials. We are always searching for new or different sources of raw materials. Our products are available in a large variety of grades and package sizes.

Old Bridge’s manufacturing site is located on a sixty-four acre site in Old Bridge, New Jersey and is supported by an extensive engineering and maintenance center. Our general offices are also located here. The proximity to major transportation hubs allows us to ship our products throughout North America in a quick and cost effective manner. All of our products are manufactured at our plant.

We operate our own, fully certified laboratory, insuring that our product quality is consistent.  Our goal is to ship our products within specification and on time, every time, at a competitive price.
